A Portland Nonprofit Says It Helped Dozens of Immigrant Families Avoid Eviction. Hundreds More Are at Risk.

Project Home has distributed over half of its $350,000 emergency fund to assist 95 immigrant households facing eviction due to income loss from ICE enforcement, officials said.

Project Home says nearly 700 households have applied for rent or mortgage assistance after a sudden loss of income caused by the recent ICE surge. Some advocates have called for a statewide moratorium on evictions.
