A night of quick action: Carleton Place firefighters extinguish grass fire on school and private property

A grass fire on Wednesday night triggered a swift reaction from the Carleton Place Fire Department. Shortly before 9 p.m., firefighters were called to an area on Woodward Street, adjacent to the back area of the Caldwell Street Public School property and a backyard on Burgess Street.
