The Ministry of Commerce announced that controls on misleading price and campaign practices in discount sales ads are ongoing. According to the regulation that came into force on August 1, the pre-discount price will be determined on the basis of the lowest price in the last 10 days, with an administrative fine of up to 39 million 916 thousand pounds in case of violations.

The lowest price applied within the last 10 days prior to the start date of the discounted sale of a product following the new regulation coming into force on August 1, 2026 will be based on the pre-discount price.
The Ministry of Trade has mandated that the lowest price from the previous 10 days be used as the basis for discounted sales, and announced that heavy administrative fines amounting to 39 million Turkish Lira will be imposed against fraudulent discount schemes.
