With the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency's (TİTCK) e-KT regulation, the era of digital package inserts for medicines is beginning. From January 1, 2027, with the exception of certain cases, an Electronic Instructions for Use via QR code will be mandatory for all medicines.
Printed leaflets will be removed from medicine boxes and replaced with electronic systems. This new era will be challenging for those who lack digital literacy or cannot use smartphones.

The new era in the application of printed prospectuses on medicine boxes begins. With the TİTCK regulation, the Electronic Instruction for Use (e-KT) will become mandatory except for the products covered by the exception from January 1, 2027; citizens will be able to access the drug information via the QR code on the boxes.
