Today marks 54 years since the music legend debuted his Ziggy Stardust alter ego at the now defunct Toby Jug pub. The mural was unveiled by leader of Kingston Council, Andreas Kirsch, with a little help from Our Lady Immaculate School’s choir. Along with a giant portrait of Bowie, the mural’s design features the band posters of many of the then upcoming musicians that performed at the venue during the 60s and 70s and went on to enjoy global star…
