The 34-year-old mountain climber Benjamin Ribeyre, known from the mountain microcosm, died on Tuesday "in a rock bar fall." An investigation was opened by the Gap Public Prosecutor's Office.
Guide Benjamin Ribeyre died in a race with a customer on Tuesday 24 March at the end of the morning. He was in the descent of the Orcière corridor, an off-piste route in the La Grave area.
