[Taipei – Yoshiaki Nishimi] A memorial service was held on the 8th in Tainan, southern Taiwan, for Yoichi Hatta (1886-1942), an engineer from Kanazawa City who constructed the Wushantou Dam during the Japanese colonial period. President Lai Ching-te and other Japanese and Taiwanese officials attended the service.
