A government-commissioned report in Finland has proposed a major overhaul of the country’s child benefit system, including a flat monthly payment of €100 for every child until the age of 18. The investigators do not support taxing child benefit or making it income-related.
In the future, the same amount would be paid for all children, and the payment of child benefit would be extended by one year.
