Doctoral student Jonathan Carcache and professor Jake Francis are examining the Arctic plant that taps into neighbors' roots, finding its purple flowers act 'like a billboard that advertises pollination,' potentially creating mutual benefit.
While the tundra may appear desolate to outsiders, Florida Atlantic University student Adam Bloom observed 'the tundra's kind of like the jungle,' underscoring the complexity of these ecosystems as scientists track adaptation to rapid Arctic change.
