Olive oil stands for health, enjoyment and the Mediterranean way of life and has become quite expensive. Moreover, the quality of the oils has declined rapidly in recent times, as the product test has to establish.
Stiftung Warentest sees a significant loss in the quality of olive oil. Out of 25 products tested, only four achieved a good result, several failed due to rancid taste or pollutants.
