Libyan delegation in Beirut seeks release of the son of late Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi
Lebanese officials and a Libyan delegation agreed to reduce bail and lift travel restrictions for Hannibal Gadhafi, detained since 2015 over a decades-old disappearance case.
- On Monday, a five-member Libyan delegation advanced negotiations in Lebanon, meeting three senior judicial officials including prosecutor Jamal Hajar and progressing on Hannibal Gadhafi's possible release.

 - Libya formally requested Hannibal Gadhafi’s release in 2023 citing deteriorating health, while a Lebanese judge last month ordered $11 million bail but barred travel, which his lawyers say he cannot afford.
