Authorities have arrested a Latvian citizen for allegedly spying on the country's defense sector for Russia's GRU military intelligence service.
The arrest took place in mid-October in the city of Ventspils, although it has not been until Monday when it was made public by the State Security Service (VDD), which has confirmed that the suspect, of Latvian nationality, is already formally charged with an alleged crime of espionage.
