The national leader of Inso, an organisation specializing in security watch for NGOs, has been detained since the end of July in Ouagadougou, according to revelations from the "World", Wednesday, September 3.
In Burkina Faso, a Frenchman was arrested on 28 July by the intelligence services. He has since been detained in an unknown place. Jean-Christophe Pégon is the director in Burkina of the NGO Inso, which provides security information to humanitarian organizations. The Frenchman is suspected of espionage by the military regime in place. Four Burkinabè employees from Inso were arrested last week.
Jean-Christophe P. works for an NGO that provides data and security advice to other humanitarian organizations. He was arrested at the end of July, while relations between Paris and Ouagadougou are harmful.
