A fryer fire declared itself Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the restaurant L'Authentique, in Alès, impacting only the ground floor of the building. The fire caused a light wound, incommodated by the smoke and transported to the hospital center of Alès and forced five inhabitants to be relocated. About twenty firefighters were mobilized to control the disaster.
