Counter-Strike 2 Player Slapped With 10-Year-Ban for Punching Opponent Live On-Stage

DACH CS Masters said the assault violated league rules and reported the incident to the Esports Integrity Commission after the stage attack.

  • On Sunday, April 19, CS2 player MAUschine, from Berlin, punched opponent Fabian "Spidergum" Salomon on stage during the awards ceremony at the CAGGTUS Leipzig CS2 tournament.
  • The altercation followed a match where Spidergum's team defeated MAUschine's squad, after Spidergum repeatedly taunted his opponent by shouting "papichulo," MAUschine's signature catchphrase, during gameplay.
  • Tournament organizer DACH CS Masters subsequently issued a 10-year ban against MAUschine and reported the incident to the Esports Integrity Commission, stating violence "has no place in our league."
  • On Twitter, Spidergum appeared to downplay the event, joking "Bullseye from MAUschine, better aim than with the AWP," while Regnum4games, the German esports organization representing him, announced legal support.
  • The tournament featured prizes including a "Beginner LAN Seat 2027" and a "free hot beverage flat rate 2027," but Spidergum noted MAUschine will not be eligible to return next year to claim such rewards.
