Teens kidnap Las Vegas man, steal $4M in cryptocurrency: police
- Three teenagers kidnapped a Las Vegas man at gunpoint in November after he hosted a cryptocurrency event downtown.
- The suspects, two identified as 16-year-olds Belal Ashraf and Austin Fletcher from Pasco County, Florida, allegedly abducted him after he parked at his apartment.
- They forced the victim into their vehicle, threatened him with death to him and his father, and drove him over 70 miles to a remote desert area in White Hills, Arizona.
- Under duress, the victim provided access to his cryptocurrency and NFT accounts, which were drained of $4 million before he was abandoned and walked five miles to a gas station for help.
- Authorities arrested Ashraf and Fletcher, set bail at $4 million each, and are still searching for the third suspect believed to have fled the country as the investigation and legal proceedings continue.
