ALEXANDRIA — A big crowd turned out for the Alexandria Farmers Market in Big Ole Central Park on Saturday, May 9. It was the first market of the season. Nineteen vendors were selling a wide variety of items, according to Ron Branch, market manager. Shoppers browsed through flowers and bread to monster cookies and frozen bison.
