Two French people are reported missing after their catamaran encountered "difficulties" off Tangier, in northern Morocco, announced Monday the National Coordination and Marine Rescue Centre, and the father of one of the passengers.
The causes of the incident remain unknown at this stage. The search for the two French now focuses on an attached canoe equipped with an outboard engine which also had the crew.
Their catamaran met with "difficulties" off Tangier, Sunday at around 2:15 a.m. local time, according to the National Marine Coordination and Rescue Centre and the father of one of the passengers.
