- The bus carried 28 people, including 19 youth competitors from the Sports School, three coaches, six parents, and the driver.
- Of the 28 passengers, 23 suffered injuries, police said, including two coaches who were seriously harmed and one youth athlete with a broken femur.
- All passengers were transferred to hospitals by paramedics following the crash. Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok called the accident "heartbreaking" in a Facebook post, offering condolences to the deceased's family.
- The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, Baranya County Police said, as they continue to investigate the crash that occurred around 5:20 a.m. local time.
