Building collapse in Heilongjiang kills seven
Seven people have been killed in a building collapse in Heilongjiang province. According to Xinhua News Agency, nine people were trapped after the partial collapse of the building in Hailin Town, in the city of Hailin, shortly after midnight on Sunday. Two others were treated at hospital. Authorities there said rescue work had been completed and the cause of the accident was still being investigated. Edited by Tony Sabine
In the early hours of March 29, a building collapsed in Hailin Town, Hailin City, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. Nine people are currently trapped, and their fate is unknown. A shop owner nearby said that he heard a loud "bang" when the collapse occurred, which woke up his sleeping family members.
