Families scan hundreds of photos at a Kathmandu hospital as authorities say about 4,200 people are missing after the flood.
- Families gathered at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Wednesday to scan a wall blanketed in hundreds of photographs of missing people and retrieved but unidentified bodies following catastrophic flash floods.
- A glacier collapse triggered the disaster, which has killed more than 1,200 people and left more than 4,200 missing across Nepal more than a week after the catastrophic event.
- Sati Sigdel has maintained a vigil since Monday searching for her cousin, Sweety Paithan. "We put up her photo three days ago, but we still haven't heard anything," Sigdel said.
- At the Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, families held rituals for lost relatives, including 21-year-old Sabin. "It weighs heavily on my heart," said Tapindra Prasad Timalsina.
- With some 900 people feared trapped in hydroelectric power plants, Nepali authorities continue relentless search efforts as hope for survivors dims steadily across the mountainous country.
