Minnesota 988 Contacts Continue To Rise

Minnesota’s 988 crisis centers have handled more than 370,000 calls, texts and chats since the national mental-health lifeline launched in July 2022, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. Use has increased each year. The state recorded about 25,000 contacts during the program’s first six months and about 83,000 during the first half of 2026.
