[Naha] 81 years ago, during the Battle of Okinawa, Kiku Oshiro (92), formerly known as Kakazu, from Kokuba, Naha City, wandered the battlefields in the southern part of the main island and lost her grandmother and siblings. A scar of about 18 centimeters remains on Ms. Oshiro's left thigh, which she sustained during the war. "I really want to forget it," she murmured, and slowly recounted her memories of that time.
