The Ponoka Stampede is marking its 90th anniversary in 2026 with the theme, ‘Year of the Cowgirl,’ which was reflected in the Stampede Parade through downtown Ponoka on June 26. The parade marshal was 2014 Miss Ponoka Stampede Katy Lucas. Ponoka rodeo royalty were reunited, leading the parade and being honoured in arena on June 26.
