On Sunday, a 89-year-old hiker in the community area of Bürs (Bez. Bludenz) avoided a probably fatal crash. The senior lost his balance as a result of inattentiveness and plunged into the exit area of a 40-meter-high climbing wall. However, he could cling to a rock and call for help, the police informed. His calls were heard by sports climbers who stayed at the foot of the wall. They got help.
