Las Vegas Pastor Arrested in Child Predator Sting Operation
The arrests followed a two-week undercover operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies targeting online child sex predators in the Las Vegas Valley, officials said.
- Las Vegas police working with federal and state agencies announced on August 13, 2025, the arrest of 8 men after a two-week child predator sting in Henderson.
- The operation drew on multiple agencies including Nevada’s ICAC Task Force, FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, LVMPD, North Las Vegas and Henderson police, Homeland Security Investigations and the Nevada Attorney General’s office.
- Authorities identified the eight suspects, including David Wonnacott-Yahnke, 40, all facing felony charges of luring a child with a computer for sex acts, with seven booked into Henderson Detention Center and one into Clark County Detention Center.
- Authorities are urging parents to monitor children’s online activity and contact 702-828-3111 if they have information or are victims, to protect community safety.
- According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, the suspects face felony charges that in Nevada can carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
