Ascención López Hernández, 75 years old and resident of Mission, died on Thursday morning after losing control of the vehicle he was driving, said María Hernández, spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Security. The incident occurred at approximately 6:16 a.m. on the Bentsen Palm Road, north of San Lucas Street, north of Palmview, in Hidalgo County. López Hernández died on site due to injuries sustained.
