74-year-old man found dead near camp in Lewis County

Authorities said the 74-year-old man, from Lowville, was last seen on the night of May 28 heading toward his camp near the Croghan Tract Conservation Easement. Officials said his family became concerned and followed his path, and found him dead in the woods the following morning. The authorities were notified and the body was removed to the Lewis County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
