The Okinawa Prefectural Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry conducted an emergency survey of its members in the prefecture from June 16th to July 25th regarding labor shortages, wage increases, and price hikes. 74.6% of businesses responded that the current minimum wage is a "burden." Meanwhile, 30% of businesses are unable to pass on rising costs, including labor costs, to prices.
