- West Mercia Police conducted County Lines Intensification Week between June 23 and June 30, making 65 arrests and shutting down eight drug lines in the region.
- The operation targeted county lines drug dealing, which involves using mobile phone 'lines' to flood drugs from cities into rural towns, exploiting vulnerable people.
- Officers seized an estimated £618,895 in cannabis, crack cocaine, heroin, and powdered cocaine, along with over £77,000 in cash, 20 dangerous weapons, six vehicles, 43 mobile phones, and made 34 visits to addresses used forcibly for drug dealing.
- During the raids, officers protected 14 at-risk young individuals and adults, while Detective Chief Inspector Jo Woods highlighted that organised crime groups profit by exploiting vulnerable people through intimidation, violence, and causing widespread misery.
- The West Mercia Police’s ongoing efforts to dismantle drug supply networks and safeguard communities were highlighted during a recent week of action, which elevated the force to one of the highest-ranking in the region, according to the area’s crime commissioner.
