Fire broke out at a house in Wallington earlier today.
Around 60 firefighters responded to the incident in Roe Way just before 4pm. The fire was brought under control just after 7:30pm. One of the Brigade’s 32metre ladders was also deployed to the scene. Station Commander Ian Simpson, who was at the scene, said: “Traffic in the surrounding area was severely impacted,” and “motorists were advised to avoid the area”.
