- The group—including family members Wan Ahmad Aslam Wan Zairudin, Siti Zulaiha Norizan, Diya Raisha Wan Ahmad Aslam, and Ahmad Raef Wan Ahmad Aslam, plus guides Shafiee Sidek and Hazman Mamat—entered the forest on August 29 and lost contact after September 1.
- A 25-member rescue team coordinated the operation, with 11 personnel flown by helicopter to Kem Kulim, where hikers were estimated to be about one hour away.
- Following their recovery, rescuers transported the group to the Pos Kemar health clinic, where officials confirmed all six individuals are in good health and uninjured.
- Wan Zairudin Wan Ismail, whose son was among the missing, had expressed concern that the group's food supplies, intended to last only six or seven days, would prove insufficient during the challenging Trans GBB route expedition.
