The event aims to highlight the French photographic heritage and in particular the author of the first photographic image in history, Nicéphore Niépce.

The Rencontres de la photo opens in Arles this Monday, July 7 for a 56th edition under the sign of commitment, defending by "indocile images" diversity, inclusion and mixed memories.
