- On Aug. 31, investigators say the home invasion occurred around 1 a.m. on Andreeta Drive, Kleinberg, Vaughan, and suspects stole cellphones for `monetary gain only`.
- Police identified suspects including Amir Wiam Mohammad Abuhmaid, 26, Mississauga, charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm, while Choszen Roshan Phillip, 25, Toronto, and two 16-year-olds face possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
- Police say the probe remains active and others may be involved, with officers executing search warrants on Nov. 10 at three residences and naming Jayshaun Williams, 16, wanted for first-degree murder.
- The victim, 46-year-old Abdul Aleem Farooqi, was killed during the invasion; family reports say intruders held daughters at gunpoint and York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween and Naeem Farooqi called for accountability.
