The date that recalls the momentary recovery of the Malvinas Islands in 1982 coincides with another event, recently installed the last dictatorship: the speech in which Martínez de Hoz announces his economic plan. Today, 50 years ago.
Resolution 1514 (XV) of 1960, on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, and especially Resolution 2065 (XX) of 1965, recognized the existence of a dispute between Argentina and the United Kingdom and urged both parties to negotiate.Over the years there were moments of rapprochement in which the question of sovereignty was even discussed, albeit without concrete results.
On April 2, 1982, Argentine troops took possession of the islands in Operation Rosario. It was the beginning of very sad days
