MARQUETTE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Four Illinois residents have been fined and banned from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula. The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan says they were caught by a U.S. park ranger carving large letters into the faces of the cliffs on July 25th. They were each ordered to pay a $500 fine and are not allowed to visit the park for a year. Their names are not being released.
