LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JUL 10 – More than 100 firefighters and Urban Search and Rescue teams safely evacuated all 31 workers trapped in a collapsed 18-foot-wide wastewater tunnel, part of a $630 million infrastructure project.
- Thirty-One tunnel workers were safely rescued without injuries from a collapsed industrial tunnel in Los Angeles' Wilmington neighborhood on July 9.
