3 Victims of Serial Killer Identified by Illinois Police and SIUE Students

ILLINOIS, JUL 23 – A university internship and genetic testing program helped identify three victims of serial killer Maury Travis and charged a suspect in a 14-year-old cold case, officials said.

EDWARDSVILLE — In a new partnership with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville students, Illinois State Police have identified three victims of an infamous St. Louis-area serial killer and also brought charges for a murder that had gone unsolved for 14 years.
