3 officers wounded, suspect killed and another man wounded after New York domestic dispute call

Friday night, officers responded around 10:15 p.m. to the 600 block of Chili Avenue, 19th Ward, Rochester, New York, where three Rochester Police Department officers were shot and a suspect was killed after gunfire exchanges near Arnett Boulevard and Thurston Road.
A caller told dispatch that the ex-boyfriend was trying to break into the home on the 600 block of Chili Avenue and both men were armed, police said.
Hospital officials and police said one officer was saved by his ballistic vest, another underwent surgery and is critical but stable, and the third is serious but stable; all were treated at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Authorities said there is no outstanding threat to the public and anyone with information is asked to call 911; the Monroe County District Attorney's office, New York Attorney General's office, and RPD Professional Standards Section opened separate investigations.
Police said the investigation remains active and they expect to release more information Saturday.
