The Gaston County Police have made an arrest following an investigation into a homicide that occurred outside of Mount Holly.

Mount Holly Shooting: 25-Year-Old Charged in Grandhaven Drive Death

A 60-year-old man identified by his wife as Thomas was shot and killed outside his home on Grandhaven Drive near Old NC Highway 27 late Monday night after stepping out to grab groceries for a Labor Day cookout. Gaston County Police officers responding to a reported shooting found him suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
