An EU Label Against Electronic Waste and Discarded Smartphones

New Iphones are coming up again in September and in January 2026, Samsung is likely to follow up with its latest flagship generation, not to mention the numerous other competitors. Those who want to stay up-to-date and have the necessary change must upgrade every one to two years.

Munich (ots) – The figures are impressively high – and speak for themselves: In Germany alone, around 119 million discarded smartphones are stored in households, of which around 40 million devices could easily receive a second life cycle through refurbishment.
