- Police registered a death due to negligence case and arrested warehouse owner Gangadhar Das, who was remanded to eight days' custody, while Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mayor Firhad Hakim and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced compensation of �10 lakh per victim.
- Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari demanded State Fire Minister Sujit Bose's resignation and questioned his nearly 32-hour delay, while a delegation of 20 BJP leaders will visit the warehouse on Thursday .
