The Revenant returns to select IMAX theaters worldwide with a companion book, marking its 10th anniversary and $532 million global box office, 20th Century Studios said.
- On Thursday, February 26 and Sunday, March 1, 20th Century Studios will re-release New Regency's The Revenant exclusively in select IMAX theaters for its 10th anniversary.
- Released in 2015, The Revenant is based in part on Michael Punke's novel and follows a frontiersman left for dead who survives a brutal winter and seeks vengeance.
- The film, led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, won three Academy Awards and grossed over $532M worldwide with key screenplay and production roles from Mark L. Smith and Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
- Internationally, IMAX will screen the film in the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico, while 20th Century Studios releases the companion book The Making of The Revenant.
- Following Leonardo DiCaprio's recent Oscar nomination for One Battle After Another, the anniversary screenings arrive during awards season ahead of the 98th Academy Awards on March 15.
