- National Publicity Secretary Ken Asogwa announced the selection, stating Okereke emerged following a broad-based consensus among party members and stakeholders.
- Okereke holds a PhD in Legislative Governance Studies and Master degrees in Public Administration and Legislative Studies, and serves as President of the ERGAF-AFRICA Legislative Governance Innovation and Policy Hub.
- He also serves as a resident lecturer in the Department of Public Policy and Administration at Miva Open University in Abuja, contributing to public sector leadership development.
- The party fixed N50m for presidential nomination forms, positioning Okereke's candidacy to address Nigeria's need for accountable and transformational governance.
