2026 KIA SORENTO EARNS 2025 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ AWARD

The IIHS awarded the 2026 Kia Sorento the 2025 TOP SAFETY PICK+ for models built after September 2025, bringing Kia's total to five models under stricter testing.
It met the IIHS's stricter requirements by earning `Good` front crash prevention ratings for vehicle-to-vehicle and pedestrian and passing small overlap front, updated moderate overlap front and updated side tests.
The Sorento comes standard with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist detecting pedestrians and cyclists, while AWD-equipped models add Terrain Mode and offer gas, hybrid and PHEV variants with X-Pro trims.
SeungKyu Yoon said Kia continues to raise the bar by delivering vehicles that combine performance, technology and safety, and these results reflect Kia’s focus on meeting safety criteria and offering customers advanced safety features they value.
