- Additional Solicitor General Raju argued that unlawful assembly and force were deployed, calling the High Court's decision a "totally perverse order" during the Supreme Court hearing.
- The Supreme Court orally observed on July 21 that there was no allegation that the accused, including Mann, had "exhorted" the crowd during the 2020 electricity tariff protest.
