A 20-year-old man was rushed to a local hospital Sunday afternoon after being pulled from the water at Little Elm Beach following a drowning incident, authorities said.

Swimmer drowns at Little Elm Beach on Lake Lewisville

Just after 12:30pm this afternoon, Little Elm Fire Department and Police Department were dispatched to a possible drowning at Little Elm Beach, 701 W. Eldorado Parkway, at Lake Lewisville. Initial information indicated a man went under water near the canoe rental area, and had not resurfaced. There was a group of bystanders searching for him as emergency personnel were dispatched.
