- On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, suspected Fulani gunmen attacked Bindi community in Ta-Hoss district of Riyom LGA, killing at least 20 and injuring many residents.
- Amid herder-farmer clashes, Plateau State has seen hundreds killed in recent years, and last week it recruited 150 agro-rangers to bolster security.
- Despite military personnel and armored vehicles, the assailants operated with impunity, as eyewitnesses reported heavily armed attackers moving house-to-house under darkness targeting civilians.
