The GNR recorded 14 deaths in an operation which lasted less than six days than the operation last year. The Minister of Internal Administration assumes that "the Government is very concerned about this situation".
The number of deaths on roads during the PAS and PSP operations this year quadrupled in relation to last year, revealed today's data.
GNR and PSP still recorded 53 serious injuries during special operations. Distraction, alcohol consumption, excess speed and fatigue are frequent causes of accidents. Non-use of the belt in behind banks leads to greater severity in injuries.
