2 teens arrested, 3rd suspect at large in DC murder of congressional intern
Two 17-year-olds with prior violent juvenile records face first-degree murder charges for the shooting that killed Capitol Hill intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, authorities said.

- On June 30, multiple suspects exited an Acura SUV near the Mount Vernon Square Metro Station and opened fire during a neighborhood crew dispute, striking Eric Tarpinian-Jachym with four shots as an unintended bystander.
- Three people were shot late that night, including Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old UMass Amherst student interning for Rep. Ron Estes, with a $40,000 reward aiding investigators.
- Pirro said at the news conference Friday that she seeks authority to prosecute juveniles ages 14–17 as adults and noted additional charges may follow after grand jury review.
